CECS is registered with the ICDL Foundation (registration number 60703) since 2004. PrerequisiteYou must be confident with the keyboard and mouse. ModulesThe ICDL course consists of the following seven modules:
The detailed ICDL syllabus 4 is available here (198KB, 30 pages). The above modules covers both Beginners and Intermediate levels. The ICDL has also been mapped to ISETT Seta Unit Standards and SAQA qualification 49077 (National Certificate: Information Technology: End User Computing). Find the mapping document here. Course FeeThe course fee is R 2 500.00 (vat inc) and includes the following:
The course fee excludes the examination fee of R140.00 per module. You can also choose to write four modules to receive the ICDLStart Certificate. A comparison with commercial ICT training companies reveals that the ICDL course will set you back at least R4000.00. ICDL Benefits
ICDL Exam Dates?ICDL exams are open to the public, and the next exam dates are the 30 Jul * 27 Aug * 01 Oct * 29 Oct * 26 Nov 2010. The exam time is generally 9:00 - 12:00, and a person can sit for up to 7 exams. The exams are conducted in Windows 2000/Linux and Office 2003/2007/OpenOffice |
